Dear Ami Abbu,

Today is your 39th wedding Anniversary Masha Allah and on this special day, I want to open up my heart and confess all of the things which has been going inside my mind since so many years… I want to thank you for all the sacrifices and all the support which you both gave to us since childhood.

I still remember how I and Baji got admission in a school and college which were very far from our house. And Abbu, you took the brave decision of shifting to another house just for the sake of our education so that we do not waste much time because of our long routes. In the new house, when I was just a teenager I still insisted on having my own room and you people again sacrificed for us and chose to live in the smallest room of the house.

Pyare Abbu Ami, you people gave us the best thing of your lives. The goodness of your both always insisted us to remain positive with everyone and under any circumstances. Abbu, we got to learn from many teachers in our school, college and university life but surely you are the best teacher of our life. I am using the word “we”, “us” and “our” because I know that Bhai and baji’s feelings would be no different from mine. All three of us owe our lives to you.

I am writing this randomly as thoughts are flowing through my mind. The events may not be in sequence but as I write this down I have tears rolling down my cheeks. I still remember Ami how you used to wait for us impatiently sitting in the balcony when we used to come back from our schools, colleges and even in university life. We used to be hard on you sometimes because of your tensions but now after being a mother of two kids. I can totally relate to you.

In our childhood, there was not a single place where you didn’t take us to visit. Every Sunday was a funday for the family outing. You gave us the best of family time. Alhamdulillah. You people never let us down in any of our decisions. Whether it was going to a friend’s gathering or choosing our colleges university. But you also guided us pretty well.

Aplog humein har jagah le kar jatey thay jahan bhi hum bolte thay. Our friends used to say k q aapne parents ko thakatey ho. But you both never showed us that you are tired and exhausted because of us. We used to go to every single book fair in our city and collected a whole lot of books. Abbu Ami always insisted us on studying, reading and focusing on the good things.

The most inspiring thing which you people taught us was “love and respect” which you both have for each other Masha Allah seeing you both loving each other with so much trust and respect made us fall in love with relationships. Still, you are giving the same love and care to the grandchildren, still, you do us so many favors, you still support all 3 of your kids through thick and thin.

There are many other things besides this but these are the ones which came to my mind quickly, I feel you both have done more than what could be done. You have done more than enough for us and we could not thank you for this. I want to thanks ALLAH Almighty for blessing us with parents like you. May HE give both of you good health and long life full of blessings and happiness. Aameen Sum Aameen. Please, whoever reads this say Masha Allah for my parents. JazakAllah
