Growing up, I had a great interest in playing sports— cricket, soccer, basketball, swimming, badminton, hockey, skateboarding, and volleyball. Now, more recently, I began to get into Table Tennis. I’d say I became greatly influenced by my 3 brothers; whatever they did, I adopted from them.

I have been so lucky to have such supportive brothers who always stood by my side and I got even luckier when I married the best man in the whole wide world, who encourages me to play sports on regular basis. I was always very passionate about sports. For me, sports is a source of true happiness and positive energy. I used to play cricket with my brothers’ friends- 10 guys and one girl on the team. I used to be the 7th player in a cricket team and was a cricket captain in school.

My point is, ladies aren’t stereotypically just supposed to stay at home and do housework, nor should we just be about glam and make-up. With the right support and encouragement, we ladies can accomplish so much more than you can even imagine. Also, all of us must realize that support is not just to get the job or do what we like, it can be for home chores or sharing your workload either by your siblings or by your life partner.

Secondly, Allah SWT has gifted so much talent and strength to the women that they can easily perform multi-tasking. There are women out there who are brilliantly managing home chores as well as their professional life. Kudos to them. Women are highly regarded for their indoor and outdoor management.

Therefore, we ladies must enjoy life by staying active and smart through different productive deeds.
