Epic Response to Aunties Who Ask Young Mothers “Why They Don’t Breastfeed Their Infants?”

1525 views

When a woman delivers a child, the first thing she hears is, “Have you started breastfeeding him/her?” And the women start with their “Hawws, and haayes”. Now, there’s one thing that every woman out there needs to know that, every mother knows how important and beneficial breastfeeding is for both the mother and baby.

What is appalling is that the mother who has just delivered is judged by the women around her. How? Delivering a child through a C-section is not considered a “perfect birth” or “You don’t know the pain a mother goes through when delivering a child normally”. Lol. Also, if the mother is unable to breastfeed her child; she is selfish. What people don’t know is that there are so many factors as to why some mothers struggle to breastfeed. It is hard – emotionally and physically.

What women don’t realize is that there a new mother struggles at times to breastfeed her child. Chances are the baby won’t be able to latch, the mother might not be able to sit up for long and many other reasons…

This video totally depicts the life of every new mother out there!

And, in our society, “jitni aurten, utne muft ke totkay”. Isn’t it? And this is certainly not just about breastfeeding. The list is ENDLESS. From the way you take care of your child, what you feed to your child, how you take care of the hygiene, etc etc…

To all the ladies who go around giving bits of advice to new mothers, no one knows their child more than the mother herself. Every mother is different. And nothing is more precious for a mother than her child. So if you think she’s not taking care of her child the way you do, that’s your problem.

To all the new mothers, enjoy the motherhood journey. You know your child more than anyone else. So, ignore what people have to say and the advice they give. The new mom needs a break!
