Uh oh, it’s that not-so-pleasant time of the month again when the red lady visits for a while. Let’s get real, nobody likes periods, guys and girls included. Girls despise them for obvious reasons; a backache, cramps, tender breasts, fatigue, depression, irritability, mood swings and weird af cravings. Guys hate them ’cause… *wink wink*
Now that we’ve established mutual dislike for periods regardless of one’s gender, let’s talk about how to turn the tables (or at least make them look pleasant) for women. Girls, I know it sucks when you wake up with cramps and an idgaf attitude that could slay dragons and then BAM! There’s your period. The only bright side of getting your period is knowing that you’re not pregnant. Other than that, I don’t see any reason to be happy about a bleeding vagina.
But we’re not here to whine (not now tho). We’re here to provide dietary solutions to all your period problems! Cramps are the worst thing bestowed upon womankind, however, luckily there are a few things you can eat to reduce the pain and possibly eliminate body ache and fatigue.
1. EXERCISE ON YOUR PERIOD!
I know I promised food, but this is just as necessary. Exercise so that your muscles move and the cramps go down. You will thank me later.
Eat a ton of Salmon! It will reduce the bloating.
3. Eggs, eggs and some more eggs!
The more eggs you consume, the better you’ll feel.
4. Dark Chocolate.
It helps with the mood swings and makes you happy hence helping with the mood swings!
