The 5-day British royal trip to Pakistan has come to an end and what an eventful journey it was. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were ever so graceful and humble during the entire tour. They genuinely engaged in all the activities they attended. Not to mention, Kate channeled late Princess Diana through her outfits, which bore a striking resemblance to the ones Diana donned during her trips to Pakistan.

One of the best highlights from their trip was the cricket match they participated in and had a blast. Moreover, the royalties showed immense respect for the religion during their trip to the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore and listened to the Quran with deep concentration.

Both, Kate and William seemed pleased with their trip to Pakistan and it definitely showed in Kate’s first-ever television interview with CNN.

Kate Middleton speaks a great deal about her Pakistan visit.

The royal members visited Lahore’s SOS children’s village and Kate definitely took everyone by surprise by starting off her opening remarks in Urdu. Another new milestone that the Duchess of Cambridge achieved was her first TV news interview after her marriage to the Prince. Kate briefly spoke with CNN’s Royal Correspondent Max Foster and her words reflected her time in Pakistan; which was “really special”.

Kate informed how her and William got the chance to see much of the country during their 5-day trip. She spoke highly of Pakistan. She said, “It was amazing seeing some of the geography yesterday, but then to see some of the community activities today has been really special,”

On her visit to the SOS children’s village, Kate said, “William and I really wanted to come and see an SOS Children’s Village like this” Furthermore, she added, “There are so many vulnerable women here but they’ve really used their positivity and the support that the Village here provides them … to support and protect the next generation of children in their care and give them the best possible start to their future lives.

Kate’s special message to the SOS family is heart-warming.

The Duchess said, “You have shown us too that it is not simply a term that describes the relationship between blood relatives,” the duchess said. “Instead it describes those special bonds we share with those who make us feel safe and supported. It is the quality of those relationships that matters.”

She added, “Together as a village you are transforming children’s lives and providing them with strong foundations to support all their families.

The future Queen and King show similar characteristics that Diana embodied; humbleness, a connection with people of all cultures, castes, and creed and a deep emotional understanding. Their first visit to Pakistan must have opened their eyes to the reality of this country and its people. Their renewed sense of perspective regarding Pakistan will help better the ties and relationships with the UK.
