When it comes to fitting in a different host country, the wife of Sultan of Swing Shaniera Akram doesn’t do it better than anyone else. If you follow her social media (which you definitely should), you’ll see how the activist always shows her interests in the well-being of Pakistan.
When Shaniera married Wasim Akram, she became our Bhabhi and she admires it. What makes her devotion towards the country even more fascinating is how embraces the culture and the teachings of Pakistan.
Just like any other foreign woman, Shaniera could’ve chosen to settle abroad even after her marriage for all the right reasons, the difference in culture and economic conditions being the major ones. None of that happened and she now lives with the Pakistanis, through the thick and thin of this country.
If making people smile is the thing I do well then that's the best talent that I could have received ??? pic.twitter.com/3FhHYXLDCT

.Whatever problems you face today just remember that there are children in our world who still don't know what clean water tastes like pic.twitter.com/4KMewd49gE

While Discussing the Eradicating Conditions of Karachi, Shaniera Tweeted on how Pakistanis Need to Collectively Come Forward to Fix the Infrastructure of the City of Lights
I call on Pakistan. This is not a Karachi problem. Lets stop thinking we are separate provinces & start acting as one whole united country pic.twitter.com/ry2bA8z3TP

She shared a heartbreaking video which revealed how awful the conditions of the city are. She urged Pakistanis to come together and make collective efforts, keep aside provincial differences.
She talked about how the Blame-Game Needs to End
This isn't a blaming game. We need to identify the problem & deal with it together. This has gone too far. We can't ignore this any longer!

It is not because she is a white person whose presence in our country makes it our profound duty to feel overwhelmed. The fact of the matter is that she was once an outsider and her interest in the well-being of Karachi alongside Pakistan reveals how she cares, despite being someone who wasn’t even born here.
Someone, however, Made her Feel like An Outsider
Wow @iamShaniera you are so good at lecturing us Pakistanis-No doubt before marrying you must be teaching sociology to PhD students. https://t.co/1pTT0XECph

And Shaniera Won Our Hearts with this Reply!
I didn't know I needed a PhD to care for our country?? And before you separate me from "Pakistanis" please remember this is my country too https://t.co/EK2CL04sHq

Shaniera has accepted Pakistan as her home and we should be appreciating her efforts, rather than dissing on her. She belongs from a different background, but not once has she showed how difficult the transition has been for her.
Despite coming from different roots, the activist cares for this country and her actions prove it. What have we done for Pakistan? One must ponder upon that first.
