Fatimee, who hailed from Attock, was working as the Assistant Director Ministry of Information, Pakistan. For Pakistani women, to think about such an overwhelming achievement is often criticized, but Fatimee, through her hard work, had broken all stereotypes to achieve her success.

Only a week before this tragic incident, Syeda Fatimee and her husband Shoaib Hassan, who was an engineer by profession, had gotten married on the 29th of November. The couple had gone to Hunza, away from the rush of Islamabad, to celebrate their honeymoon.

“I’m deeply saddened by the tragic death of a young officer of FSP, Syeda Fatimee & her husband Syed Shoaib Hassan. The Foreign office has lost a promising officer. It is pertinent to add here that the government, especially Ministry of Tourism needs to keep a rampant check and balance on the levels, quality and arrangements of the hotels that have been built in Pakistan’s Northern Areas. Had the gas leakage not taken place, Syeda Fatimee and her husband would still be here today, enjoying the happiest moments of their lives. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Illahi Rajiun.
