When I entered my room after a long day and looked at myself in the mirror, all I could see was a dull skin. I looked older than I am with some small zits. I decided to be upset but my mind knocked some sense into me and pushed me to do something for my skin. So I researched and researched and came up with the recipe of Green Smoothie.

Some of my friends got curious when they saw me holding a glass and questioned, why am I having this smoothie as I don’t need to lose weight. Guys, that’s the deal. Green Smoothie which is equally good for your skin as it is for losing weight.

I have got an acne-prone and really problematic skin but they say it matters what you eat and it’s true. So at least we should start from somewhere.

Ingredients:

I know in advance that the ingredients sound really weird, but, trust me, this is all a dull skin needs! And if you’re trying to shed some pounds, note them down, too. The ingredients for this smoothie are:

  • 6-8 leaves of spinach
  • 1 small or half big apple
  • Half cucumber
  • 1 Banana
  • Half cup of water

Green vegetables like spinach are very rich in vitamins, protein, and minerals. It’s very good for our skin, hair and bone health. It is low in fat and cholesterol and high in zinc, vitamin A, C, E, B6, iron, potassium, and calcium as well.

If we talk about cucumber, it’s rich in vitamin K, B, C, copper, potassium, and manganese. They’re low in calories so aid in weight loss. And again, good for your skin.

Apples are rich in fiber and vitamin C, hence good for weight loss, hair, skin and improves eyesight as well.

Bananas are a healthy source of fiber, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C and maintains body weight and keep your skin healthy.
