Menstruation is that one topic which women itself are still struggling to understand. And when I say this, trust me it is a whole freakin’ world inside this topic and its discussion. Why a woman menstruates is an altogether different thing, but what happens when a menstruates is a real question and the questions inside it!

So, like every normal couple when they get married they get to each other a little differently; and while they are at it then comes “that time of the month”. It is only then the couple have questions regarding this process. But the major questions usually comes from the “mian sahab”

1. Is it painful? How bad?

Well, Mr. Husband! It varies from person to person. Some woman has little to no pain, while other’s experience some murderous war inside their stomach.

2. Kitny din? How long will they last?

Longer than the liquid lipstick which promised to stay for a lifetime, longer than the mascara which says it’s waterproof but it only lasted till I cried of cramp pain from periods. So, yeah! They last a long ass week for some girls and even longer for some and shorter than 7 days for some girls.

3. What do we prefer? A pad or a tampon? Or a cup!

In a Pakistani culture, we are very afraid of experimenting. Anything other than a sanitary napkin! But yes, it depends upon someone’s comfort. If they are okay with tampons, BINGO! But the menstrual cup is something different altogether. IT”S HEAVEN!

4. Can Mr.Husband help?

YES, don’t do anything that annoys your lady. DO NOT bring any fight. Plis buy her chocolate and a large tub of ice cream. And 2 tons of cuddles! She’ll be happy for a day!

5. Does it get bloody? How much?

We lose 30-80 ml of blood throughout a whole period cycle. But it varies from woman to woman, and on heavy bleeding days, it gets serious. Beware! Care for her. 😉

6. Can we have ehm ehm?

Yes, while it can get messy. So, the whole action ca turn into a wax scene and most women don’t want it but at the same time, they are super turned on. So hear your lady! 😉

7. Why wearing a pad is uncomfortable?

Because they are messy, imagine a blood stain pad against your body. Though no pad should be placed more than 6 hours and on heavy days 3 to 4 hours. Also, many women get UTI(urinary tract infection) which is usually caused by the sanitary napkins.

8. How do we get to know?

Usually, women are aware of their cycle, so they would know that these are the days. But sometimes they are either late or come very early. For such cases, we see that weird pimple popping or the mood swing and many other weird changes.
