Meesha Shafi, the bad-ass girl of Pakistan showbiz shared something very sad on her Twitter account. She claimed that she was harassed by Ali Zafar her colleague and another big name in the industry. She said she was harassed on multiple accounts. According to her, it was a difficult time to actually realize that it happened. It took her a lot of courage and time to open up in public. She also said how she received tons of support from her friends and family.
Currently, she’s judging the biggest band show of Pakistan
This curious case of harassment went up another level when the matter was calmed when it reached the court. Meesha was unable to give adequate proofs. After which, Meesha was asked to pay defamation charges put by Ali Zafar. The matter has now taken heat again after the premiere of the movie, Teefa in Trouble. Ali Zafar is certainly facing a lot of trouble for that. People are reaching almost every place where Ali is to be present for the movie.
After all this Meesha though deactivated her Instagram. But on her Twitter, she’s pretty active and still fighting. So, the other day she posted;
“Hi brilliant folks at
@gopro For the betterment of all women everywhere, getting harassed with impunity, could you please develop a product they can strap to their bodies at all times to provide evidence, and call it#GropePro Thanks.”
She asked the tech giants to contribute and ponder over this idea but it kinda…backfired…
