All these ride-hailing services in Pakistan have a eased many people’s lives in many ways. Since the local transport has no one to look after they charge on people on their own! Without looking at how many kilometers they have traveled and how much they should charge at what distance. It was then when these rides hailing services were the best to come to the metropolitans of Pakistan.

But with every benefit comes, the cost that some people have to pay. This girl was about to see some God Forsaken situation; no one knows what could have happened to her:

“I’m writing this to warn all the girls who travel alone on #Uber. #Uber is not safe at all. At least not anymore. Last night something really creepy and unsettling happened. At around 9:30 pm I was at my university and booked uber to go home. The captain arrived on my pin location but was nowhere to be seen. I called him to ask where was he so he told me “meri jo car apko uber py show horhe hai alto mere pas aj wo nahe I’m having cultus or mai bs gariyun k peechy hun arha hun” when car arrived it had a government number plate and the driver was young, I knew something was shady,he started the ride and when I reached 2 talwar he video called someone on Snapchat and started talking in another language it sounded like Arabic, after crossing 3 talwar he told someone about the directions from where he was going, I was totally baffled and ask him to turn off the A.C. I tried to roll down the windows but he said “madam ye windows kharab hain” after crossing avari towers he asked me “madam ap kis rasty se jaynge karsaz yan drigh road?” I told him from drigh road he suddenly took his other phone and started writing a message to someone in Arabic or what so ever language it was.I decided not to go home with him. I called my colleague and told her that I’m coming office as I’ve forgotten something. I asked the driver to take left after S.M.C.H.S road but he didn’t. I shouted and said Maine apko bola hai k left len then I showed him another way, while I was about to reach my office and crossed McDonald’s he called someone and told him about his current place. After few seconds I reached office where my colleague was standing I asked him to end the ride where he questioned me “Madam you had to go to Juhar” I gave him the money and came out of the car while My friend was standing right there. We sat in the car right after this with My female colleagues just at the corner of the lane there was a black corolla with more Arabic boys using phone continuously. We escaped the place. My BP was low and I was shivering. I’ve been using Careem and uber frequently since last year it’s my way of transport to go to the office, university, home and to any other place but from now onwards I won’t be using any of these as so many incidents are occurring.
I’m attaching the video where he was communicating with someone and was telling about directions.”

Just when she shared this heinous incident on her Facebook wall, people were shocked at how people so vulnerable at the hands of these drivers

Anything could have happened if she wouldn’t have escaped from the car

It is not just about any of the company since both ride-hailing services have been accused of hiring drivers with such notorious behavior. But it’s been quite a while since they haven’t been able to do much about it!
