Along with Raheela, her sister (late) Shalyla Balouch also used to play as a forward for both – Balochistan United and the Pakistan’s National Women’s Team. But unfortunately, Shalyla passed away in a car accident on October 12, 2016, in Karachi. The two sisters grew up playing on Hockey fields since there were no football grounds in Quetta at the Girls’ College. Raheela surely made the Pakistani’s proud when she acquired her Master’s degree in FIFA. Yes, she is the first Pakistani who has gotten a degree in that which qualifies her to work with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA. How amazing?!!

In 2015, Raheela surprised the Pakistani by coaching the men’s football team for Karachi Electric.  She is not the first women in Pakistan, but she’s the first in South Asia to have acquired this achievement at such a young age. Way to go! Despite their achievements and success, the two sisters have also been criticized on various occasions because of their mother, Senator Rubina Irfan, who was the President of Balochistan women’s football team and people tend to think that they have come so far along just because of their mother.

Raheela also says that she got her inspiration from David Beckham because he is a fantastic player and we really wish to see the women’s football team playing internationally and making us proud! Go, girls!
