Pakistan international Film Festival has just started and yesterday it was its first day and a panel discussion was held in the festival. Sajal was present in the panel discussion alongside many famous Bollywood celebrities like Nandita Das, Vishal Bhardwaj, Rekha Bhardwaj, SS Rajamouli, Asim Raza.
The event is scheduled for 4 days, in which there will be many panel discussions. The motive of the event is to discuss the future of Pakistani cinema and the relationship with Indian counterpart.
Sajal confessed about her nervousness that even after all the experience she still sometimes gets nervous before every new project that she takes up. She also said that with every new project, she thinks like it’s her first. In the discussion, she also talked about how she was saddened to hear about Sridevi’s death and her emotional attachment with Sridevi.

Last year, during the shooting of Sajal’s Bollywood debut movie “Mom”, Sajal’s mother had passed away and Sajal said that during that difficult time, Sridevi was with her. Sridevi provided Sajal with the warmth of a mother and she felt protected.

It was not that Sajal missed Sridevi after her death but right after she returned home. She kept posting Sridevi’s photos on her Instagram and wrote beautiful captions for her whenever she missed her.

Sajal said the discussion that she really wanted to go India to see Sridevi for the last time but no one could manage to go there. Not even Adnan Sidiqqui, even after they tried way too much.

It seems very clear even when Sridevi was alive that the bond between Sajal and her is precious. Sridevi posted many videos on her social media accounts after the shooting of their movie Mom was finished. Sridevi, herself thanked Sajal and Adnan for their great contribution and even got emotional when she talked about her experience of the movie.
Sajal mentioned in the panel discussion that after Sridevi’s death, both her daughters called Sajal which made her want to be with them in the difficult time to pay Sridevi’s efforts off. More power to you girl and power strength!
