Muniba Mazari, the Iron lady of Pakistan. Who doesn’t know her? She is not only well known in Pakistan but she is also recognized around the globe and why should she not be? She is the role model for everyone.

Despite the disability, she continued to live her life with dignity. She didn’t give up against the odd circumstances. She didn’t sit in the corner whining over her disability she got up and told the whole world that when a woman decides to rise, nothing can stop her. What and what not she became. She is a painter, model, motivational speaker and UN goodwill ambassador of Pakistan.

This was the one side of the picture. Now let’s put some light on the other side of the picture. Her husband Khurram Shahzad, a former air force official and now a commercial pilot, sued her for rupees 10 million for telling wrong facts about him and for painting him in poor light. This issue has taken social media by storm.

Now I think this is a point to be pondered upon. She in her interview a few years back praised her husband a lot. She couldn’t stop talking about how good he is. And now when she got divorced which she herself filed for, she is speaking against him. Was this a tactic to gain attention and sympathy? Was she actually exploiting everyone emotionally?

Before asking these questions from her I think for once we should ask ourselves some questions so we should realize some bitter realities. Why do we believe someone blindly? Why do we fall for someone’s words without listening to the other side of the story? Why do we rush to conclusions and then blame others for exploiting us and disappointing us? Are we too lame to be exploited? Answer these questions first and then decide who is to be blamed.
