There are mainly three things which every man and woman should before the nikkahnama.

1. God has given every woman and man the right to give divorce. But it is only applicable if you mention that in Section no. 18 and 19 (this section is crossed out without the couple’s knowledge) and when a woman doesn’t have the right to divorce; she’s only left with the option to get “khula”

2. The couple can set a monetary allowance that the husband will give to the wife every month, which can also be claimed after the divorce.

3. The haq mehr is supposed to be a gift by the husband to his wife, and it is to be given at the time of nikkah; not after the divorce!

Yes, these are the things which are never told by our elders or anyone. This is the discussion every parent should have before getting their kids married.
