The fashion industry in Pakistan has flourished pretty well in the last decade; from yearly to semi-annual fashion weeks, the emerging market of designers and stylists. Alongside the big brands that have now turned into big textile giants; like Sana Safinaz, Asim Jofa and Hina Mirza were the individual designers who started off on their own and made it big.
Well, many times, the Pakistani designs have been caught ripping off designs from international designers. A guy once compiled all the designs of Pakistani designers and searched out the sources on how these designs were actually plagiarised.
Apart from plagiarism, Pakistani designers and stylist have faced severe backlash on the way the apparel is presented. How many of you have seen those awkward bridal dresses on the ramp walks where the guy is wearing a very beautiful dupatta which matches the dulhan’s outfit perfectly? Lol. YEAH! Right, that’s cringeworthy and meme-worthy.
So, Ayesha Omer recently did a photo shoot for the brand Zaha, but guess what happened on the shoot??
