Dr. Sikander Imran from Arlington, Virginia slipped a drug in his 17-week-pregnant’s girlfriend Brooke Fiske’s tea which made her lose the baby. According to Washington DC ABC’s correspondence with WJLA, the former doctor slipped a drug in her tea which made her go into early labor and eventually losing her baby.

Fiske shared that she was visiting Imran to discuss the future of their baby, in an interview with WROC. During that meeting, Imran drugged her tea, on which she was rushed to the hospital on time, but the baby couldn’t take all the pain due to the intensity of the drug.

Imran was sentenced to prison for 20 years, but will only serve 3 years now.

Imran was arrested on the May 2017 and pleaded guilty to the fetal homicide he committed. This not only charged Imran for sentence in jail but also made him lose his medical license to practice.

In the goodness of Fiske’s heart, she argued the court to reduce the stiff penalty of Imran. Imran was dealing with mental health issues such as panic attacks, depression, and even tried to commit suicide.

“To me, the length of time that he serves in prison isn’t what’s important,” Fiske told WJLA. “I think that it is really important that people know that if they are dealing with depression before they do something, they should reach out and get help.”

“What matters is that people hear this story and realize that either they need help themselves and they’re going to reach out and get it before something awful happens, or they realize that whatever weight, whatever tragedy, whatever pain they’re carrying, there is a way through it,” Fiske said.

According to WJLA, Imran might be sent back to Pakistan after he has served his time in jail.
