Admit it. You’ve all made fun of your doctor friends wearing their lab coats out in the public and the one question that might’ve crossed your minds would be – why do they need to wear it out in the public? Be it on the streets, shopping malls; we’ve seen them everywhere. Oh, let’s not forget how some of them even have their stethoscopes hanging on them. Haina? Haina?

A majority of people think that wearing lab coats in the public is an icky practice and the medical students/doctors are merely showing off. However, on the other hand, people think that a white coat is supposed to be a symbol of hygiene and wearing it outside in public space is a violation of this. They say that it represents a lack of awareness about the ethos of this profession. What do you think?

This female medical student shared a picture of herself at Sea View, Karachi, wearing a lab coat but little did she know, she would be swarmed with people’s criticism on Twitter!

But this bandi bravely stood up for herself and man, she clapped back at all her haters who criticized her for wearing her lab coat to the beach! You need to check this out!

Wow. So much hate over a single picture. Well, what we loved about this girl is that she stood up for herself amongst so many haters that too on a social media platform. Where many would ignore the hate or end up deleting their posts to be on the safe side, this girl clapped back at the haters! Woohoo! So what if they wear lab coats in the public? They earned it.  They’re proud of it.

It’s high time we stop judging people for their choices and give them space to breathe. Social media can be very cruel in terms of criticizing others but we need to learn how to control ourselves and make sure we don’t hurt anyone with our harsh words.
