This Pakistani Guy Shamelessly Harassing A Bus Hostess Is So WRONG!

1959 views

Today, women harassment has become a prevailing issue as women are treated as objects in our society. Carrying out chores as simple as going to markets or to earn a livelihood has become difficult as women are victim to unwanted physical contact, staring or sexual comments in their everyday lives and it is not acceptable.

Usually, most of the women practice the silent treatment against harassment where they try to ignore the situation while others look in the face of their victims and confront them. It is important that these men are given the dose of their behavior so that they don’t dare to harass a woman again. Ever.

Recently, an incident took place on a bus that was witnessed by a man who was traveling back home and here is what he had to say:

“Yesterday, I was travelling back home. While the bus hostess was serving passengers, a passenger at the backend ( shown in the below video) started to make video of her and she was visibly uncomfortable with this.
This didn’t stop here, the passenger tried to inappropriately touch her while she was serving him.

The bus hostess came to the driver and complained about harassment. When the alleged harasser came before, he started to intimidate her and kept on justifying his act shamelessly.
Adding to his shame, he laughed while all this happened.

I couldn’t stomach the situation. I voiced my concerns and this is what happened. When I was leaving the bus, the hostess was shivering with fear and terror stricken! A single woman in a bus of 40 men!

I believe that the poor working women class is prone to prostitution. It was much easier for this buss hostess to go down that road. If a working woman has opt to earn ‘halal’, we shouldn’t disgrace her in such a way!

We have to stand up against misogyny and the way we treat women- especially the brave working women who face this everyday!”

Here’s what the video that he shared:

It is true we are part of this ugly society where such men have the audacity to laugh after engaging in such acts. It is important that such people are exposed in front of the public so that they don’t dare to harass a woman again. It’s high time that such acts are reported to the higher authority and actions are taken against them so that all those women that are going out to earn their ‘halal’ livelihood are not afraid to go out and get respect in return!
