The entire concept of power dynamics is so deep-rooted in our system that we can not seem to eradicate it. We have in our culture strict gender roles, that sometimes kills the relationship’s affection. A man who is to provide for the family by hook or by crook, women have to give birth and be a mother. So, if a man is not able to earn enough for his family he’s not “man enough” and if a woman can’t give birth then she’s not a “complete woman”
This Girl Tweeted Something About A Wife’s Right And It Has Triggered So Many Pakistanis
Every individual has certain rights that they don’t have to ask anyone to practice them. Such as the right to earn for themselves and right to have an education. When it comes to the education or career of a woman, it is usually dependent on the father of the girl or the husband. IF he allows ONLY then she’ll go to study.
This girl on twitter shared her experience: A girl told me she’s empowered because her husband lets her study. The entire problem: he LETS me. You can do everything without a man’s permission because it’s not his to give in the first place. The day women understand that is the day they’ll be truly free.”
This tweet alone was enough to trigger people who believe that men are ALWAYS superior to any girl
A girl told me she's empowered because her husband lets her study. The entire problem: he LETS me. You can do everything without a man's permission because it's not his to give in the first place. The day women understand that is the day they'll be truly free.

Firstly, why does a girl anyway needs her husband’s “consent” to study? Anna gave a perfect reply!
How often do you hear men saying "my wife lets me work" "my wife lets me study"?

This girl, won the internet for the day!! WOHHO
Exactly.. We need to make compromise to keep a family together. Instead of fighting for the rights and ending up living alone with a dream job that won't serve you all the time…

She was later schooled by people for preaching such “wahiyat” thoughts and that she herself would never practice it in her life!
My tweets about not asking husband permission to study is all over fb and the comments are vile as hell, death threats and rape comments lol. Education is an obligation in Islam, if you husband stops you from studying he is disobeying Islam and you can go against him. Fuck off.

That’s for all the people who belittled her!
Oh and people who think I don't follow this in real life, I turned down a marriage proposal cuz the guy said he doesn't want a wife who works. My dad refused that guy too. So yes, we practise what we preach.
