2357 views

In Ramazan, many people are concerned about their diet and how to maintain a healthy month without getting dehydrated and dull. There are many Ramazan planners on how to complete prayers and food that one should consume. There are indeed many professional dieticians who advise people on consuming enough food and enough dairy products to stay hydrated through long hours of fasting.

There are people who are bound to be fit no matter what, such as many famous models. In an interview, Mehreen Syed, a top-notch model was asked how she maintains her health during Ramazan. Because who else could better tell about a healthy diet than a model, after a dietician obviously. Mehreen gave an interview to a magazine to which she was asked a few questions and she replied normally and told all about her routine.

Here’s the photo of the interview she gave to the food magazine.

But what’s underlined in the article is a more pressing concern that got Mehreen severe backlash. Her answers in the interview were modified. The magazine’s question, “Advice for those who are fasting this month” was answered by Mehreen as people shouldn’t binge eat at sehri and should take small meals throughout the day and after iftar. People bashed her for advising that people should eat during the hours of fasting.

Mehreen actually took an initiative on this an wrote a note in a closed Lahore-based food group on Facebook “Foodies ‘R Us”

People were very supportive of the fact when she told the truth and took the wrong ones out. People bashed Mehreen and even questioned her belief system and religion without further investigating what she really said or was is it merely edited by the writer. We second Mehreen on the fact that just changing a few words can do a lot of harm.
